“The championships must be evaluated by others,” said Jiří Hamza in an interview, praising the work of the organizating team and fantastic fans. So what do others say?

Let's start with the President of the International Biathlon Union, Olle Dahlin, and his speech to the organizating team.

“What we can see here is unbelievable. The atmosphere, the fans... You have the loudest venue in the world. The basis is the organizing team. You work very hard. We see it every evening after the competition. That's where your work starts. Despite the unfavorable weather, you have ensured fair conditions. You are an extremely organized team.”

The work of the organizers was appreciated on social media by Johannes Thingnes Bø. And after winning the third gold and seventh medal overall in the mass start, he spoke even more.

“Shooting on lane one in this stadium is one of the highlights of my career. And to make such a beautiful ending to an amazing Championships… I cannot describe it in words. Before the start today, I looked up in the stands and really took in the energy. It is just crazy to win a race when there are so many people here! Every photo of the competition that I have seen with me in between the photographer and the stands makes me feel so small. It is one of my favorite stadiums for sure.”

The home championships were fully enjoyed by Markéta Davidová, who on Sunday mingled with the fans, constantly smiling, taking pictures with them, or signing autographs.

“The atmosphere is incredible. Many thanks to the fans for supporting us here for 14 days, and I hope to see you next year as well. Considering the weather conditions, the tracks were prepared great. Many resorts could learn from Nové Město na Moravě.”

British Eurosport commentators likened the atmosphere in Vysočina Arena to London's Wembley. Sturla Lægreid felt like a gladiator in the coliseum. And Michal Krčmář was visibly moved after the last race. “It's incredible how many people came. I will remember it for the rest of my life.”

The excellent work of the organizational team was originally glossed by Latvian Baiba Bendika. “Best tracks in warm conditions with no doubt!” Biathlon legend and now Finnish television expert Kaisa Mäkäräinen joined in with praise. “Thanks to Nové Město for a great championships under challenging weather conditions. You did great!”
