Comps are held at the Vysočina Arena and snowmaking will take place during the frosty weather.

One month before the start of the IBU World Championships in Biathlon (February 5-18, 2024), the Vysočina Arena is buzzing with activity. Over the holidays, it hosted the Central European Cup for youth and juniors, as well as training sessions for part of the Czech national team. Currently, the first round of the Czech Youth Cup is underway in Nové Město na Moravě (January 5-7).

The Arena will still be open for evening public skiing on Saturday," says Jan Skřička, the secretary of the SK NMNM club, and adds: "However, we will close the Arena on Sunday after the races. We plan to take advantage of the cooling weather, which is expected to arrive from Northern Europe, for intensive snowmaking." The 2024 Biathlon World Championships are approaching, with the first unofficial training sessions in NMNM already scheduled for February 3, 2024.
